My Princess: Episode 1

Plot? Check. Characters? Check. Characters are believable? Check. All parties are accounted for? Come on, we don't want to leave anyone out here. Check! Logic? Umm, check for now. LOL's? Most definitely! What a way to hit the ground running. This drama means business and it's not wasting time with introductions. In fact, we aren't even introduced to the main characters before they even have their first argument! But that's ok. The rest of the hour makes up for it as we are entertained by four different characters (love square) and a plot to bring back the royal family of Korea. Alright, I'll buy that for now.

What I enjoyed most in this first episode is the main character, Seul, and her consistency throughout this first episode--her crush on her professor, her plan to go to Egypt to confess which is followed by her one failing: money. Which is where the male lead comes into play. He has LOTS of it which he shows off when he purchases a 6k ring for the girl he wants to marry. Ironically, it's the same ring that Seul was admiring a split second before--can you say, foreshadowing?

But this first hour establish very well what we can expect from this drama: plenty of personality, lots of money, a few misunderstandings, some heart-break, and a plot that seems like it will fit it all in nicely. Ok, I'll ride this bus. Take me there!

  1. This sounds good. Though you can't base everything off the first episode, shall have to wait to see what else you say about it.

  2. I love Seul and her spunky character and her love for the professor is adorable. I really hope he falls in love with her, even if he doesn't get her at the end. But they should AT LEAST have a date and a kiss.

This drama looks so good it gave me goosebumps.
